Our Starting Point

People are not standardised. Therapy shouldn't be either.

Every person brings a unique combination of strengths, sensitivities, experiences, relationships, and ways of regulating themselves.

Before choosing tools or techniques, we seek to understand the whole person, find an approach that fits the individual, consider the systems and relationships around them, and keep the therapeutic relationship genuinely human.

This allows us to develop a way of working that fits the individual rather than expecting the individual to fit a predefined model.

WISH Mindscience was founded by Kevin J. Hall in 2017 with the belief that meaningful and lasting change begins with understanding the person, not just the problem.

Our work is grounded in an integrative, systemic, and neuroaffirmative perspective. We do not view differences in thinking, feeling, relating, or regulating as deviations from a norm, but as expressions of individual ways of adapting to and engaging with the world.

Rather than applying a predefined method, we seek to understand how each person functions, emotionally, relationally, cognitively, and under stress. This understanding becomes the foundation for a therapeutic process that is tailored to the individual rather than the other way around.

We believe that sustainable change emerges when there is sufficient safety, curiosity, and collaboration to explore established patterns, expand possibilities, and develop new ways of relating to oneself and others.
